MESTIZANA

Ana Maria, aka Mestizana, is a Colombian-born DJ, whose sets are defined by contrast, precision, and cultural nuance. Now based between Lisbon and Berlin, she builds sets that rely on deliberate tension, where asymmetrical grooves, ambient textures, and subtle percussive layers collide to challenge the usual patterns of the dance floor. With a background in visual and pattern systems, Ana Maria approaches music with an editor's eye, selecting and arranging with care, cutting through noise rather than layering endlessly. Her style resists fixed genres: intimate but never soft, playful but never loose. She is co-founder of Berlin's AGBeats collective, which focuses mainly on the local scene and intimate showcases, and Errantes, a Lisbon-based radio show and event series focused on diasporic musical drives. She also held a residency with radio stations such as Collect, ESR and Lusophonica.
